Six-year old Brock Smith, an avid baseball player with his brother, Brody, and his family have faced more challenges since school started last August than any family should have to face. Since starting kindergarten at Timber Trace Elementary School, they discovered Brock had a malignant brain tumor pressing against his brain stem. Surgery removed Brock's tumor, but his recovery will be long and full of challenges. Brock is relearning how to walk, talk, play, brush his teeth, tie his shoes, and one day play baseball again, along with trying to keep up with his classmates through at-home tutoring. He is undergoing chemotherapy, constant tests to monitor his progress, physical and occupational therapy and yet, never cries or complains.
This is an amazing kid who needs our help!
